聯盟3日公布上個星期的最佳球員，休士頓火箭James Harden（哈登）不僅率隊打出4連勝，自己也繳出瘋狂數據，當然獲選西區最佳球員。
上星期4戰，Harden平均37.3分、9.8籃板、12.5助攻、1.3抄截，元旦對紐約尼克更締造「53分大三元」。
至於東區最佳球員是華盛頓巫師John Wall，巫師上個星期也是3戰全勝，Wall平均24.3分、13助攻、2.7抄截，將勝率拚上5成不說，還擊敗密爾瓦基公鹿、印第安納溜馬等東區對手，吞下大補丸。
